Only include bands actually seen in totals
Currently users can tick the bands actually seen at gigs/festivals (which is a great feature!), although when looking at the number of gigs per artist and the ranking of most watched artists, all artists at these festivals are included. It would be great if artists were only included in these totals and statistics if they have actually been ticked as seen.
For example, my gig total for my number one artist is actually one higher than it should be, due to missing them at a festival in the past before I was a fan - it would be great to…
3 votesHey there, bands that are marked as "not seen" don't count toward your stats. Have a look at your concerts where the band played to make sure they are all marked seen or 'not seen' accurately. If it still doesn't look like it's adding up correctly, send an email to support@concertarchives.org with a link to the specific band and we can take a look.
Cheers,
Justin

Allow for setlist refresh without having to edit concert
Without having to go into edit concert, navigate to advanced settings and check the box; I believe it would be better if we could just have a setlist refresh button if possible.
2 votesThis is completed. There is now a link on the main concert page to refresh the setlists rather than having to edit the concert. Thanks for the suggestion!

Searching users by location
I'd love to be able to search for other users on the app that are close to me, especially those who have seen similar artists as me
2 votesThis mostly exists already on the website and will come to the app eventually. On the website, under the ‘Social’ menu there is a page for Recommended Users who are people who attended the same concerts or saw a lot of the same bands.
And from the ‘Users’ page (https://www.concertarchives.org/users), you can use the search box to search for locations (like ‘Portland’) and find other users who have that as their location in their profile info.

Cancellation option
I would love to be able to keep concerts for which I had tickets but that got cancelled in my list maybe with like big letters cancelled behind it.
1 voteYou can now set concerts as ‘Cancelled’ or ‘Rescheduled’! To do that, go to the concert’s ‘Edit’ page and then click ‘Advanced Options’.
Thanks for the suggestion :)

Shortening Festivals to Bands You Saw
Moving this over to the feature request list as suggested. For the larger festivals with lots of bands and artists performing we have the option to check off the ones we actually saw which is really great. When you look back to your full concert list it showcases all of them, which becomes very clunky. This would specifically be neat for festivals but really any type of concert is that your personal concert list only showcases the bands you've checked off under the tour name. You can still see all the artists there when you go to the concerts page…
5 votesThis is completed! On your concert page, the list of bands that you saw are big and bold. The ones you didn’t see are all grouped together in a small text list so they don’t take much room.
Thanks for the suggestion!

photo of the concert ticket
I collect tickets for the shows I've seen - I am missing a few so would love if others posted their tickets,I could at least make a copy for my collection! Plus it gives info as to time it started, the cost of the ticket, etc.
1 voteHi there,
This is already possible. Users can upload photos of their tickets just like any concert photo and they can add the tag ‘Ticket’ to the photo.
Cheers,
Justin

Add "cancelled" tag to concert that was scheduled but abandoned or cancelled
Would be great to get insight into performances that were scheduled for a specific date, but were cancelled. Perhaps a "Rescheduled" tag could be used to define shows that were cancelled, but a future date has been set.
This would be good for venues or promoters to see which artists or acts are more likely to cancel when trying to attract talent or promote a show.
Right now, there are no databases that provide this information in an organized fashion.

Add feature to post what items you got
Add a section where you can either say whether you got a T-shirt or other merch at the show or a setlist/pick/drumstick.
1 voteThe best place to put this info would be as a Comment on the concert page. If you have a photo/video you can also tag that photo/video as ‘Merch’.

Way to differentiate different artists with the same name.
I've seen two different artists who both go by the same name, and are grouped together for statistics, understandably. Maybe some way to separate them, such as where they're from?
1 voteYes, the way to do this is to add the location in parenthesis after the band name of the smaller band. For example, say there was a bigger band named Mono, for the Mono in Japan you’d enter it as “Mono (JP)”.
You can do this yourself by editing the concert(s) that the smaller band played, removing the band, and adding the new band with the location in parenthesis.

Fix 'Cancel' button after '... Another' action
More of a defect report ;)
Make the 'Cancel' button after taking a 'Save and Add Another' action on the Bucketlist page take you back to the 'Bucketlist' index page. Currently, it takes you back to the 'Add to Bucketlist' form.
Haven't tested any other spots like this (if there even are), but I'd bet it's a common issue.

Copy/Paste Table View
Copy/paste table view
I was already maintaining a spreadsheet for my concerts. When I found this site, I reformatted my spreadsheet so I could import it easily. I still maintain my spreadsheet to keep track of future shows and additional info.
It would be cool to have a table format copy/paste import so I can just copy the new concerts I haven't imported yet and paste them into a table input form on your site.
1 voteThe easiest way to do that would be to do an export from Concert Archives (‘Export to Spreadsheet’ link in the menu) and then you can easily copy/paste the concerts from your Concert Archives spreadsheet into your other spreadsheet.

Merge/fix band names when one is definitely incorrect
It seems that there are some bands that have two entries for the what is clearly the same band. It might be nice to have a feature to request to merge two names, so that everything already entered under an incorrect name gets added to the band's real name. One example: "NOTS" and "Nots (Memphis)" are clearly the same band, since NOTS is from Memphis, TN, but their band name is definitely not "Nots (Memphis)".
1 voteYou can already request bands/venues/locations be merged by using the ‘Report Issue’ link in the navigation.
Thank you for taking the time submit this anyway though :)

Be able to post pics of yourself with the bands
Be able to post pics of you and the bands if you have met them
1 voteYou can currently do this by uploading the photo on the Concert page.

Fix the "not seen" feature
The "not seen" feature seems to only work for bands you've never seen. If you've never seen them and click on the artist, it says you've never seen them. However, if you have before, it counts the time you marked them as "not seen" toward the total times seen.
1 voteThis was fixed last week. Thanks for letting me know!

Ability to delete a concert added by accident
Cannot delete a concert chosen by accident (ie chose wrong date, location)

Import concerts from Excel file
Using a similar format to the export file, allow for import of concert lists. Many of us have long lists of concerts, this would be much easier and quicker than manually entering them all.
19 votesThis has been added! You can now import concerts into your archive from a CSV spreadsheet. More details and a link are included in the Release Notes: https://www.concertarchives.org/release-notes

Merging Bands/ Artists into one listing
Merge multiple listings of the same artist due to misspelling or typos
9 votesI released a feature called ‘Aliases’ a couple of weeks ago that helps solve this. We can now set ‘Aliases’ for bands, locations, and venues behind the scenes. For example, the official spelling is “blink-182”, but a lot of people enter it as “Blink 182”, which caused there to be duplicate listings. Now the “blink-182” listing has an alias of “Blink 182” (amongst others), so any time somebody enters “Blink 182” it’ll automatically get corrected and applied to “blink-182”. This works for Locations (“Portland, OR” vs “Portland, Oregon”) and Venues as well.
You can email me a list of aliases to be entered to support@concertarchives.org or use the ‘Report Issue’ link in the site navigation.

Specify artists seen at festival
Allow me to specify which artists I saw at a festival so my artist counts are more correct
37 votesThis is already possible by creating a new Concert from scratch by entering the info manually rather than using the Past Concert Search Engine.
One other good tip is to create a separate Concert for each day of the festival and the system will do a better job at finding the artist setlists.
