Open Source the site
I love the site, and am a developer myself - would be glad to help fix bugs / develop new features, but I couldn't find a github repository or anything linked.
Thanks for your interest in open sourcing the site. I especially appreciate those that have offered to contribute code! Others were wanting it to be open sourced so that they could host their own version of the site. While I understand that point, it’s really not feasible as the site has grown over the past 6+ years (in terms of technical complexity or a financial standpoint).

I'd love it this were open source. We could contribute to this, and host a copy of our own - sorry I dont trust public cloud offerings. My wife and I met on myspace over a love of music and now our whole meeting conversation has been deleted and there is nothing I can do to get it back.

There is an open-source music database website out there that includes concert archives--mostly written python and perl, though, IIRC.
Would it be rude of me to mention the competition?

I'm a software engineer, ux designer, and a big fan of the site, and I have experience in ror and bootstrap/jquery, so I would definitely contribute if you were to open source the site!
