It seems that there are some bands that have two entries for the what is clearly the same band. It might be nice to have a feature to request to merge two names, so that everything already entered under an incorrect name gets added to the band's real name. One example: "NOTS" and "Nots (Memphis)" are clearly the same band, since NOTS is from Memphis, TN, but their band name is definitely not "Nots (Memphis)".1 vote
You can already request bands/venues/locations be merged by using the ‘Report Issue’ link in the navigation.
Thank you for taking the time submit this anyway though :)
Cannot delete a concert chosen by accident (ie chose wrong date, location)1 vote
If you chose the wrong concert, you can remove it from your archive by hitting the ‘Remove From Your Archive’ button on the concert page.
somewhere to add your individual, personal concert experience/memories that is not shown on the public concert page!!1 vote
You can now post ‘Private’ comments on concerts (as well as on band, venue, and location pages). More details here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/24907109
Merge multiple listings of the same artist due to misspelling or typos9 votes
I released a feature called ‘Aliases’ a couple of weeks ago that helps solve this. We can now set ‘Aliases’ for bands, locations, and venues behind the scenes. For example, the official spelling is “blink-182”, but a lot of people enter it as “Blink 182”, which caused there to be duplicate listings. Now the “blink-182” listing has an alias of “Blink 182” (amongst others), so any time somebody enters “Blink 182” it’ll automatically get corrected and applied to “blink-182”. This works for Locations (“Portland, OR” vs “Portland, Oregon”) and Venues as well.
You can email me a list of aliases to be entered to firstname.lastname@example.org or use the ‘Report Issue’ link in the site navigation.
Fix the order of the bands by the way you input them, sometimes the headliner would not appear first9 votes
Allow me to specify which artists I saw at a festival so my artist counts are more correct37 votes
This is already possible by creating a new Concert from scratch by entering the info manually rather than using the Past Concert Search Engine.
One other good tip is to create a separate Concert for each day of the festival and the system will do a better job at finding the artist setlists.
If I'm looking at my own archive and click on the name of a band, I'd like it to redirect me to that band's page, not to my own stats about them. (Or if it must first redirect me to my own stats about them, then from THERE I'd like to be able to click a link to visit their page.)
This feels like a more natural thing to do than going up to the "browse all archives" button and just typing in a random band you've thought of.3 votes
I added some additional links like you mentioned from the “user’s band page” to the main band page. Hopefully that helps. Thanks for the suggestion!

Add Opening Acts for a specific concert3 votes
This is complete! You can add all of the bands that performed at a concert and re-arrange them into the order that they played.
I notice that when I go either to my concert list or another person's concert list it doesn't show all of their concerts attended of you click on the person's username. Like there's no page 2 or 3 and so on. I notice that when I go either to my concert list or another person's concert list it doesn't show all of their concerts attended of you click on the person's username. Like there's no page 2 or 3 and so on. Is this a bug or something? I know that people will only check the main list on people's profiles, the list that shows up when you click on people's usernames, so I think that all concerts should be displayed there. All of the concerts that people have attended should be able to show up without having to click on the band name or venue or location or year on a person's profile. I know that people will mostly or most of the time only check the main list on people's profiles, the list that shows up when you click on people's usernames, so I think that ALL concerts the person attended should be displayed there somehow.

I added a link below the Concert list on the user’s profile page to make it more obvious that there are additional concerts to view.
Import events from Songkick17 votes
It would be nice to have a check box to indicate the headliner, so when you view the details the headliner is always at the top of the band list instead of defaulting to alphabetical order.19 votes
You can now drag and drop the bands into the correct order :)
bands you saw at the concert vs bands attended24 votes
This is complete! On the concert page you can now select the bands that you saw. The other “not-seen” bands won’t count towards your statistics.
It would be cool to get notifications about the concerts my friends are adding.27 votes
This is done! You can now follow your friends on Concert Archives :)
When you are logged into the site check out the ‘Social’ area in the navigation.
I've noticed that when a user adds a concert using the 'Search for Past Concerts' function, the title field is automatically populated with not only the artist name but also the venue and date. Since venue and date are already included in their own separate fields, it would be great if the title field only showed the artist name or show title where applicable.1 vote
The system should catch this situation most of the time now while still letting through legitimate concert titles (like “Coachella 2018” for example).
I also have a process running right now that’s going through all of the pre-existing concerts and standardizing the Songkick titles to match rest (“Band 1 / Band 2 / Band 3”).
Clearly post a set of rules for adding submissions. I have already seen too many submissions wherein the user has decided to Title an event with the band/venue/date information that populates those respective fields.
For instance: The Maine at The Fillmore Silver Spring (October 13, 2018)
Should only be The Maine. The format of the webpage will show us the concert's date (far-left column) and venue (right column) without this needing to be repeated in the Title.1 vote
Database Guidelines have been posted! https://www.concertarchives.org/database-guidelines
Add a function to omit bands on a line-up that you missed/skipped. Often times, I'll go to a show with 4 acts on it, but end up late and miss the openers. Don't wanna list bands on my page I missed.7 votes
This is complete and live on the site :)
Stories about the show!1 vote
The best way to add stories about the show is in the ‘Comments’ for the concert.
I notice there's two different "artist-view" pages. The one I call "my artist view" which shows only the shows I've been to for that artist (e.g. http://www.concertarchives.org/bsammon/bands/girl-talk) and the one I call the "general artist view" which shows all the shows that concertarchives.org knows about for the artist.
It would be nice if I could navigate from one to the other (I'm especially interested in going from "my-artist-view" to "general-artist-view") via some method other than manually editting the URL. The link could be titled something like "see all concerts"1 vote
I added some additional links like you mentioned from the “user’s artist view” to the main artist page. Hopefully that helps. Thanks for the suggestion!
It would be nice if the songkick integration was optional (via checkbox or something)1 vote
If you use the search box on the main concerts page (https://www.concertarchives.org/concerts), it will only search concerts on the Concert Archives site (not Songkick). This native search isn’t super powerful but it might suffice for what you need.
